Recently chosen by SPIN magazine as one of "Seven Undiscovered Bands Worth a Listen" to, Sex With Strangers is gaining international momentum with their unique brand of "robot-rock". Founding members of the Vancouver based Boutique Empire artist collective, SWS has been confounding listeners and delighting audiences with their hyper eclectic musical stylings and euphoric live shows since 2007.
Fronted by the mysterious Hatch Benedict and Magnus Magnum, Sex With Strangers is proving to be amongst the city's most prolific and exciting bands, having just released their third album in less than two and a half years. Thier latest release, "The Tokyo Steel", is a continuum of sorts to the story begun on the band's critically acclaimed album "The Modern Seduction". This time, Future Tokyo is the backdrop to this romance of liberty and love. The first single "New City Anthem", with its futuristic video, recently debuted on MuchMusic in Canada.
