Singapore, May 25, 2012: Peter Katz @ Canadian Blast showcase
It was Canadian Blast night at the Beer Market, and by as early as 9pm the bar was pretty full, with delegates from the Music Matters conference as well as the public who have heard about the showcase.
First up was Peter Katz who opened the night slightly before 10pm with Days and Nights, a song taken from his latest acclaimed album Still Mind Still. Fast becoming one of Canada's finest singer-songwriters, Peter is also a consummate performer having played over 150 shows in a year. He has engaged his audience during the 30-minute set not only with his warm and earnest songs but also short narratives behind each song in between, which included an amusing account about someone who suddenly found out she had a "baby in her stomach". By the time he gave his rousing rendition of Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time he had the room smiling and singing along the chorus; and if there were any cynic amongst them they would have turned believers on this night.
Catch Peter Katz on YouTube 'LIVE' on Saturday May 26 when he performs at the Main Stage in Clarke Quay at 7.30PM (GMT 11.30).
